Why Microsoft Windows 7 over Microsoft Windows Vista or Microsoft Windows XP and how to get hold of it.

There has been some big improvements in Windows 7 against Windows Vista and Windows XP. One of the main

benefits has to be the the much improved desktop with new themes from around the world, drag and pin short cuts

to the task bar, also if you have multiple windows open you can hover over the task bar and see which windows are

open at a glance. The new snap feature is also very handy if you want to work from windows side by side. Windows 7

has an improved home networking support making it much easier to get connected and get on the internet. Quicker

set up time than previous versions of windows, better overall performance and much more.

How do you get hold of Windows 7. You can buy a copy and install it onto an existing computer or buy a computer with it pre-

installed . Some shops are still selling computers with Vista installed but are offering a free upgrade to Windows 7. At the moment

there are three editions of Windows 7 that you can choose from, Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional or Windows

7 ultimate edition. They are thinking of bringing out a basic edition which will be stripped back which will be for Netbooks etc.

So do you or don’t you. Well It’s entirely your choice. I have been running windows 7 now as a beta test and as a proper version

and have fallen for its ease of setup, its like what you always wanted out of vista but never got. Once you get there you will not want

to go back. Well only to collect your old files and move them over.

Next time how to upgrade from Windows Vista and more.
